INTUIT x Retirement
W.I.N., or We Invest Now, is a social investing platform meant to make longterm savings more accessible through managed mutual funds.
Context:
W.I.N. is a project developed for Intuit in partnership with the Content Design and Design Strategy teams.
Challenge:
Millennials assume they will eventually retire, but without proper plans and execution, few are actually on track to leave the workforce.

Solution:
W.I.N. (We Invest Now) is a social investing platform that allows friends, family, and coworkers to invest together in professionally managed long and short-term portfolios.
PROCESS
Initial Research:
We initially conducted online research from financial services and experts to better understand the retirement space. Then, we interviewed and observed employers and young adults at local SF cafes and created personas and journey maps to better understand our users.
Top Insights:
Learning how to create a retirement plan - There is a lack of understanding about retirement options and how retirement works in the first place
Planning for long-term savings in a budget - Retirement is not a priority for many millennials. Instead, they focus on their career and short-term goals
Having retirement options in the first place - Millennials lacks qualifications for 401k’s because they are frequently switching jobs, working part-time, or working at small to mid-sized companies that cannot afford to offer 401k plans
Final Problem Statement
Because of tight budgets, inexperience in long-term savings, and lack of access to retirement benefits, millennial and Gig Economy workers are not saving early enough for retirement
We then brainstormed a hundred ideas before settling on four to storyboard and user test

Test how users react to our sign up process and see which parts are intuitive or confusing
